Banana bread

Sorry for not posting in a while.

This is my first attempt at any type of bread. Works well with tea and jam (or you can eat it as such), given that I only put one small pack of vanilla sugar or what’s that 10 g thingy called. The original recipe below, taken from Good Food.

Banana bread

  • Servings: 10
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

  • 140 g of wholewheat flour
  • 100 g white flour
  • 1 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 300 g of banana puree (I used 4 and a half medium bananas, mashed with a fork)
  • 150 g yogurt (I used Bio 0,1% fat)
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 25 g chopped nuts (optional)

Assuming you mix them right, pour it into a tin (grease it with some butter and line it with baking paper, unless you use a silicon tin like I did, which is non-stick), sprinkle the nuts on top and leave it in the oven for 1 h and 10-15 min at 160 Celcius.

In case you use a silicon tin, the dough also stretches sideways, not only upwards, so if you wish to have a straight bread, use a normal tin.

Happy cooking!
